“The Shape of Water” lên ngôi tại Giải Critics’ Choice 2018

Lễ trao giải Critics’ Choice (Sự lựa chọn của các nhà phê bình) lần thứ 23 vừa diễn ra, với nữ diễn viên Olivia Munn dẫn chương trình. Đây là giải thưởng vinh danh các sản phẩm điện ảnh và truyền hình xuất sắc trong năm, được bầu chọn bởi tổ chức các nhà phê bình phim lớn nhất Bắc Mỹ - Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA).

Tác phẩm The Shape of Water của đạo diễn Guillermo del Toro dẫn đầu với 12 đề cử và mang về 4 giải, gồm cả Phim hay nhất và Đạo diễn xuất sắc nhất.

Các hạng mục diễn xuất lần lượt gọi tên những gương mặt quen thuộc. Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour) đoạt giải Nam chính, còn Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) khẳng định vị thế trong mùa giải năm nay khi vượt qua nữ diễn viên Saoirse Ronan (Lady Bird). Ronan cũng bất ngờ để vụt mất tượng vàng tại hạng mục phụ - Nữ diễn viên phim hài xuất sắc nhất vào tay Margot Robbie (I, Tonya).

Big Little Lies tiếp tục thống trị ở mảng truyền hình, đánh bại đối thủ Feud: Bette and Joan – series ngắn dẫn đầu đề cử nhưng ra về trắng tay.
